SPECIAL AGENT
The FBI is currently hiring individuals for the Special Agent position. Individuals
interested in becoming an FBI Special Agent must meet the following requirements:
• Be a United States citizen
• Have a four-year college degree
• Be in excellent physical condition
• Be available for assignment anywhere within the FBI's jurisdiction
• Be at least 23 years of age and not older than 36 years of age at the
time of application
• Meet specific vision and hearing standards
• Qualify under one of five entry programs, to include Accounting/Finance;
Computer Science/Information Technology; Language; Law; and Diversified;
• Have a current critical skill, to include accounting, computer science
expertise, engineering expertise, foreign language proficiency, intelligence
experience, law experience, law enforcement/investigative experience, military
experience, physical science (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology) expertise, or
a total of three-years' full-time work experience in addition to the four year
college degree.

HONORS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Each summer, a special group of outstanding undergraduate and graduate students
are selected to participate in the FBI Honors Internship Program in Washington,
D.C. This paid internship program offers an exciting insider's view of FBI
operations and provides an opportunity to explore the many career opportunities
within the Bureau. At the same time, the program is designed to enhance the
FBI's visibility and recruitment efforts at colleges and universities throughout
the United States. Individuals with strong academic credentials, outstanding
character, a high degree of motivation, and the willingness to represent the
FBI upon returning to their respective campus, are encouraged to apply for
this program.
To participate in the Honors Internship Program, individuals must be between
their junior and senior years and attending a college or university on a full-time
basis. Graduate students, including law students, must be enrolled in an accredited
college or university as a full-time student. All students must be citizens
of the United States and must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average
of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Application requirements include the submission
of the following:
• FD-646a Preliminary Application;
• FD-804 Applicant Background Survey;
• FD-956 School Certification Form;
• Program Term Acknowledgment Form;
• Current Academic Transcript;
• Personal Resume;
• Two current professional photographs, 2 X 2 inches in size;
• Written recommendation from appropriate dean or department head;
• A 500-word essay expressing reasons for interest in the program.
