WEST FORK MAN SENTENCED ON CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES FAYETTEVILLE - GUY WESLEY HAMILTON, age 48, a resident of West Fork, Arkansas, was sentenced by Chief United States District Court Judge, Jimm Larry Hendren, to serve 151 months in prison, for possession of a computer and a DVD which contained images of child pornography, and to pay a $15,000 fine, U.S. Attorney Robert C. Balfe announced today. Chief Judge Hendren also sentenced Hamilton to serve a term of supervised release for the remainder of his life, after he is released from prison. Court documents reveal that on May 29, 2007, Arkansas Adult Probation and Parole Officers of the Fayetteville office of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections made an unannounced visit to Hamilton's residence in West Fork, Arkansas, to conduct a random home check as part of the conditions of Hamilton’s parole on a prior state conviction. The parole officers found a laptop computer on a table next to the couch in Hamilton’s home, as well as a DVD hidden under the couch which contained images of child pornography. A one gigabyte mini thumb drive was taken into evidence and turned over to the FBI for examination. After analysis, the FBI found images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults. A specific image on that thumb drive was an image that was transmitted over the Internet to the defendant’s computer. This case was investigated by officers of the Arkansas Adult Probation and Parole Office of the Fayetteville office of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, the Fayetteville Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff's Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Kyra Jenner.
