Application Process

Applicants for the FBI National Academy must complete an online application located on the FBI Virtual Academy website. The FBI Virtual Academy website may be found at https://fbiva.fbiacademy.edu, or Google "FBI Virtual Academy" for the login link. The FBI Virtual Academy also has a help desk telephone number for assistance, 703/632-3409.

Before applying to the National Academy in the FBI Virtual Academy, the applicant's agency/department must first be validated by FBI Virtual Academy administrators. Only the departmental Training Manager may register the agency in the Virtual Academy by using the links noted above. Once the Training Manager has accessed the website, he/she should complete the "Agency Application". After the agency has been validated by the FBI Virtual Academy administrators, any employee of that agency may use the Virtual Academy to apply to the National Academy or register for FBI classes.

After completing the FBI National Academy application online, print and sign the completed application. Attach a current passport size photo and forward to the FBI, Little Rock Field Office, along with a copy of the Nomination of Law Enforcement Officer (Form FD-164) and an original FBI Applicant fingerprint card (fingerprint cards may be obtained by contacting Johnnie Beverley at 501/228-8439).
